寝る

Today is the day after moving into my host family's home. The four of them are really nice. There is a daughter of 11 and a son of 13, a mother who is a librarian and a father who works as a businessman. My room is actually really big, probably twice as large as the singles they have at Case. Today I haven't taken many pictures; I woke up fairly late, was served some breakfast by my host-dad, played a fun logic game called Algo with him and my host-sister, and came back into my room after a while to take a nap... lasting until I just woke up.

It was, to say the least, a very drowsy day.

For the time that I was awake, my host-sister and father showed me how to get from their house to the train-station, so I could get to school and to other useful cities that have lots of shops and stuff. In America we don't use trains very much, in Japan it is the most used form of transportation. They showed me on a dry-erase board where to go and my host-sister drew me a map also pointing out which lines/trains do not stop at the places I need to go (and therefore should not ride) to get to school.

My desk-lamp's on-switch is not a button, I just have to touch it (bio-electric?), very handy for when you wake up from a nap at 6 pm and can't see anything so you're just pawing around your desk.

The bed is comfortable, the food is good, the people are nice, who could ask for more.

Tomorrow I have orientation and class-scheduling. I think I also find out how I placed Japanese-wise as well. Man, "theoretical astrophysics" sounds like a good elective.

There is a snoopy clock above my eastern window.
