Today I worked on my blog at Waseda [早稲田] in the computer lab. I also purchased some much-needed Febreeze [ファブリーズ] on the way home, lots of people here smoke and the smell is enough to deter even the bravest of potential buddies.
I was in Nezu today, I didn't go exploring and can't say if it's as awesome as the rest of where I have been thus far, but I can say that it probably is.
Tomorrow: school begins.
I am excited to finally be able to do something other than arrange meetings with the few people I know from my group and some orienting-orientation-events. Although it's unlikely that Japanese people will be taking my level of Japanese class (they do take some -- raised in the USA perhaps), I'm hopeful that I'll be able to meet some nice people with similar interests. I'm hoping that most people will prefer to speak in Japanese, even if they are native English speakers -- although English is a fine medium of communicating and if people prefer to talk in English then that's fine too.
I've purchased some manga so far, like Death Note 1 and 2 [デスノーと]... and the first 3 Ruroni Kenshin manga [今はリス君に返すことができるな]. The list is short, hopefully it will be OF INCALCULABLE LENGTHS by the time I return to the land of the people-who-don't-sort-every-article-in-their-disposable-waste-before-disposing-of-it (In Japan, for instance if you eat at McDonald's, you have to pour the remaining ice of a drink down a chute, put the cup in one bin and the plastic cap and straw in another. Although somewhat inconvenient it really does help if people do their own part instead of relying on someone else down the line.
I think classes are going to be awesome.
